Is a Painted Zodiac print personalised to my birth date?
No. Each painting shows a sign as the old star atlases drew it, not the sky on one date; the only personal choice is which sign, which hand and which size. Our sister studio Painted Heavens paints the real sky for a date and place.
Painted HeavensWhat paper is a Painted Zodiac print on?
The Archival Giclée Print is on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Art paper, and the Hahnemühle Fine-Art Print is on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, 308gsm and 100% cotton rag. Both are printed to order by Prodigi; the weights are Prodigi's published specs for the exact products we order, checked 23 September 2026.

Prints start at $85 for an 8x8-inch Archival Giclée Print, and a digital file is $45. Shipping is $12 flat per order, and the largest size, 40x60 inches, starts at $749. Prices are read from our catalogue as of 2026-09-24.

We do not publish a delivery date yet, because we have not measured our own orders end to end. Prodigi, which prints the paper and canvas pieces, publishes its production times: 24 to 72 hours for Enhanced Matte Art, 72 hours for Photo Rag, and 48 to 120 hours for stretched canvas (prodigi.com, checked 23 September 2026), and shipping comes after that.
Where does Painted Zodiac ship?
Physical pieces ship to 11 countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. Shipping is $12 flat per order; digital files are delivered by download link anywhere.
Can I return a Painted Zodiac print?
A damaged, misprinted or wrong print is replaced or refunded if you write within 30 days of delivery with a photo. Because every piece is made to order, change-of-mind returns are not accepted; a digital file is refunded in full if the link never arrives within 24 hours.
The refund policyIs the art on Painted Zodiac made with AI?
Yes, the new paintings are made with AI image models, directed by us and held to the iconography of the historical plates each one cites. The Archive plates are not: they are public-domain scans of the original engravings, printed as found.
How the work is madeWhich historical plate is my sign based on?
Every sign's page names its plate and its brightest star, with the star's Bayer designation and apparent magnitude. The plates come from Bayer's Uranometria (1603), Hevelius' Firmamentum (1690), Urania's Mirror (1824) and the Très Riches Heures.
Find your signCan I commission my own zodiac painting?
Yes: describe a scene in the commission room and it is painted four ways in one pass, one sign or two together for a couple. Every visitor gets 4 free passes, then 10 more passes cost $10; previews carry a watermark and the print you buy does not.

No. A purchase is for personal use: hang it, gift it, print a digital file for your own walls, but not resell it or put it on merchandise. Write support@painted.app to ask about anything else.
